Are you dreaming big enough? In this compelling manifesto featuring stories from Scripture and real life, Batterson challenges you to follow God's leading, act boldly on your audacious goals, and bravely plan for what comes after accomplishment. Inspired by the story in Second Samuel of Benaiah, who became King David's bodyguard and the leader of Israel's army, Chase the Lion will inspire you to see your problems as opportunities and seize the moment, showing God's power. Great as a stand-alone resource or as a follow-up to In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day

I had asked a very good pastor friend of mine for some recommendations on books to read. Instead, he loaned me a stack of books!

Chase the Lion was the first one I picked up. I was so excited and engaged after reading the first chapter that I went out and bought a copy for myself the very next day.

I made a point to see my pastor friend again and give his book back with motivationally charged instructions that he had to read it ASAP!

Mark is a wonderful storyteller and this book is full of encouragement, inspiration, and wonderful stories of Mark’s own experiences and those of historical figures.

I don’t know about you, but I like to highlight in write in the margins of the books I read. I don’t think there is a page left in my copy of Chase the Lion that is not highlighted or have notes, asterict, and underlines on it!

This book came at the perfect time in my life (Amazing Grace). I was in the midst of some major life changes and transitions and the inspiration I got from this book not only helped me on my journey through those circumstances, but has motivated me to stop hiding and start chasing down my lion sized dreams!

This is an amazing book that I highly recommend everyone, regardless of your circumstances. This has become one of my favorites and is one of those books that I am sure will get read once or twice a year!

Publisher’s Description

Quit playing it safe and start running toward the roar!

When the image of a man-eating beast travels through the optic nerve and into the visual cortex, the brain sends the body a simple but urgent message: run away! That’s what normal people do, but not lion chasers. Rather than seeing a five-hundred-pound problem, they see an opportunity for God to show up and show His power.Chase the Lion is more than a catch phrase; it’s a radically different approach to life. It’s only when we stop fearing failure that we can fully seize opportunity by the mane. With grit and gusto, New York Times best-selling author Mark Batterson delivers a bold message to everyone with a big dream.
