[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]As with most things, this was a bit of a last minute decision to attend. If you don’t know me well, I really not much of a planner. I’m more of a spontaneous adventurer.  I had mentioned this event to a group of friends three months prior but totally failed to follow up. A week before the event I mentioned it to a friend and she wanted to go, so the adventure was on.

We had to leave Saturday morning, the day of, instead of the night before. After a late start and spending too much time going around the block a couple times and getting checked into Circus Circus we finally made it to the Daytime Stage about noon.

We soaked up seven hours of sun, fun, and great music. My personal favorite was watching Dua Lipa perform. She was absolutely amazing. I was also very impressed by Logic and his interaction with the crowd and philosophy of “Peace, Love, and Positivity.” [/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

3 Things I’ll do differently next year

1. Get there the night before

So my friend wasn’t able to leave Friday night and since it saved us money we decided to leave early Saturday morning. Due to extenuating circumstances, we ended up leaving two hours later than we planned. So seven hours after wake up we finally got to the Daytime Stage, that was about noon. We ended up missing several performers and were both rather tired all day… but that didn’t stop us from dancing until 3 am!

2. Go with a larger group

There were just two of us that went because many of our other friends were not able to make it. Though we had a great experience and time I think it would have been more fun in a larger group.

3. Get closer to the stage

We could have gotten closer to the stage but decided to stay back in the grass area and relax. There were beach balls and lots of dancing going on near the stage. Next year, I’ll be closer to that stage![/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

3 Tips for Enjoying the Daytime Stage

Tip #1: Check Groupon for ticket deals.

I purchased our tickets directly from iHeartradio and it ended up costing about $62 per ticket. When we finally made it to the Festival Grounds we had to wait in a rather long line to pick up our wristbands. There was a separate line for people that got their tickets from Groupon, and it was much, much shorter.

Tip #2: Use the iHeart Radio website for hotel deals.

Unfortunately, I made reservations before I got my tickets confirmed. The Las Vegas Festival Grounds is very close to Circus Circus Hotel and Casino – where we stayed. Had I used the iHeart link I could have saved myself about $100.

Tip #3: Bring a battery backup for your phone.

Ya well, that may sound obvious to most of you, but I learned it the hard way. I had to head back to my hotel and charge my phone so I could get some photos and videos of Dua Lipa and Logic. I didn’t mind the break from the sun and a chance to cool off a bit, but I hated missing some of the performers. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

iHeartradio is Helping Others

In addition to having a great time listening to awesome performers, you can help raise money for charitable organizations such as the American Association for Cancer Research, Ryan Seacrest Foundation, Corporate Angel Network, Augie’s Quest to Cure ALS, Ryan Seacrest Foundation, Genesis Foundation, Lalela, City of Hope, and many others. Over the eight annual festivals, the iHeartRadio Music Festival has helped raise $1.9 million for these various national charities and hosts a number of critically ill children and their families with their partnership with the Make-a-Wish Foundation. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Daytime Stage was so much fun that I am already excited for next year! I got to experience some amazing performances by talented artists. If you are remotely into music, being around lots of fun people, and getting free things the 9th annual iHeartradio Radio Daytime Stage is an absolute must for your todo list next year. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]Links:
